Medical exam casts doubt on Correa’s signing with the Mets

A few days ago the arrival of Carlos Correa to the San Francisco Giants from Major League Baseball (MLB), having agreed to sign for 13 years and 350 million dollars.

However, a discrepancy regarding the results of medical examinations between the baseball player’s work team and the Giants’ management led to the agreement fading away, and the Puerto Rican changing airs to agree with the New York Mets for 12 years and 315 million dollars.

Well, the controversy has returned, since according to MLB.com sources, the New York franchise would not have certainty and would have concerns regarding Correa’s medical file, so the principle of the contract agreement would be in doubt.

The problem

The journalists of the portal The Athletic Ken Rosenthal and Dan Hayes, reported this Saturday that the problem would be the right leg of the 28-year-old shortstop, which underwent surgery in 2014 while in the Minor Leagues, to repair a fracture in his fibula (also called fibula).

What is striking is that this injury, from which he recovered 100 percent, has not caused him any inconvenience in his 8-year career in the Major Leagues, on the contrary, becoming one of its brightest stars.
