Marenis could have joined the “Orebro” team already last season

29-year-old Marenis is on loan to Örebro until the end of this season. He played 11 minutes in his debut match against the Malmö club in December, but received a three-game suspension after the fight due to an improperly executed power play.

In a conversation with TVNET’s online magazine KLIK, Marenis revealed that “Orebro” was interested in him already last season, when he represented “Vita Hasten” of the second league or “Alsvenskan”.

“Rodrigo’s role in my coming to Orebro was very minimal. He was only asked for his opinion about me at the last moment. They also watched me last season. Because there was interest in the middle of last season, I was able to come to Orebro. I had high hopes for it, I wanted to play there. It helped to show a better performance in the ranks of “Vita Hasten”. After the season, there was no more interest, so I didn’t wait long and signed with “MoDo”, said Marenis.
