The Christmas season means fun and presents. Newcastle player Dan Burn felt the same way. Following Monday’s 0-3 win at Leicester, Burn wanted to please an 11-year-old traveling supporter with his match shirt.
A noble idea, but the implementation didn’t quite go according to plan. Burn threw his jersey at the young fan, but a 65-year-old woman also clearly had her mind set. In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, you can see how the woman even tries to pull the shirt out of the child’s hands.

Fortunately, another supporter, possibly the woman’s family, intervened in time and the boy was able to go home with his shirt. According to English media, the woman, who is said to be “very ashamed”, has since contacted the father of the young Newcastle supporter to apologize.
