One more year, CHRISTMAS arrives and with it the days of vacation, a favorable opportunity for children and adults to share moments, activities, strengthening neighborhood ties.
In view of these dates, the Rueda City Council has designed a program of cultural and leisure activities that accommodates all ages.
As has become a tradition, the Exhibition of World Nativity Scenes from the Miguel Gallego Collection has marked the inauguration of the Christmas calendar in Rueda.
In this 2022, the exhibition has inaugurated its new headquarters. The Rodense priest Miguel Gallego has donated to his native town, the extensive collection of Nativity scenes compiled over the years. Approximately 500 Mysteries originating from different countries will be exhibited until January 15 at the Priest’s House-Museum located in the newly named Plaza de Miguel Gallego.
Along with them, a sample of Nativity scenes of small format, but great interest belonging to the same Collection, can be seen in the Exhibition Hall of the Tourist Office of the town. Different Christmas Cooking and Decoration Workshops will help adults when preparing for family gatherings on these days. And the
The little ones will have Workshops and Children’s Games throughout several days, including a specific cooking one for them.
The “Route of Nativity Scenes” will once again lead us through some of the most outstanding Nativity scenes in the town, both in terms of size and the detail of their assemblies.
Sport will also be on the agenda, represented by the Futsal Tournament, the Family Badminton Tournament and the friendly Triangular Futsal between La Seca, Serrada and Rueda.
One of the most anticipated activities is the trip to the Skating Rinks of Medina del Campo and Valladolid, to which is added this year the visit of the little ones to NAVIVAL.
The screening of films for children and families, together with Bingo for different age groups and a children’s chocolate party will complement the leisure agenda designed for this Christmas.
The final touch of the Christmas program will be the representation on January 5 of the XIV Living Nativity Scene of Rueda, but not before having shared with our neighbors of La Seca our mutual best wishes at the beginning of the new year, in the V March of the Good wishes.
