Phoenix. With a great performance from Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics, who lead the Eastern Conference, remain the best team of the season in the NBA by winning 125-98 against the Phoenix Suns, leaders of the West.

The game went entirely to Boston, which took a 17-point lead from the second inning at the Suns’ home.

Brown was the star of the Celtics scoring 25 points with seven rebounds and three assists, while Jayson Tatum stood out with 25 points and five rebounds.

In Toronto, Pascal Siakam had 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Raptors defeated the decimated Los Angeles Lakers 126-113 without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Los Angeles forward Juan Toscano left the game early in the fourth quarter with a sprained left ankle.

Meanwhile, rookie Paolo Banchero scored 10 of his 23 points in overtime and the Orlando Magic ended a nine-game losing streak by beating the Clippers 116-111.
