La Galaxy is imposed a transfer ban: no punishment for Te Kloese

The former club of Feyenoord director Dennis te Kloese, LA Galaxy, has received a heavy punishment from the American football association MLS. The club would have violated the transfer rules when Te Kloese was still at the helm. Among other things, the upcoming summer transfer window will not allow Galaxy to sign players from outside the MLS.

Te Kloese worked for Galaxy from 2018 to 2021 and the violation is said to have occurred in 2019. Then the Argentinian attacker Christian Pavón was hired from Boca Juniors. Payments for a transfer and salary must be reported to the MLS for compliance with salary cap rules.

That was done wrong at Pavón and the salary cap was exceeded, according to him Rijnmond. The current chairman of Galaxy, Chris Klein, is suspended until the end of the upcoming transfer window, the club will be fined $ 1 million and therefore also banned from abroad.

Reaction Feyenoord
A spokesman for Feyenoord says the following about Te Kloese: ”He has cooperated in the investigation. He has not received any punishment or fine, so the outcome is clear. The only thing is that if he wants to work in the MLS again in the future, he will have to have a talk with the union first. That is of course no problem for him.”
