It has not been an easy end to the year for Deportivo Cali and its entourage, as al death of his youth player Andrés Balanta the murder of Kevin Balanta’s brother is addedalso a former player of the Valle del Cauca institution.

The Cali newspaper El País reported that Camilo Lucumí, Kevin’s brother, He was assassinated in the early hours of this Monday, December 5, in San Antonio, a rural area of Santander de Quilichao, Cauca.
The first versions indicate that Camilo’s crime was for revenge; however, the authorities have not issued an official opinion on the facts and the murder continues to be the subject of an investigation.
Likewise, the aforementioned medium indicated that Kevin Balanta received the news when he was at the airport to return to Mexico —He is a Querétaro player—after having attended the funeral of his footballer friend, Andrés Balanta.

On November 29, the Argentine media reported that the midfielder from Cali Andrés Balanta passed away after finishing a training session with his new club, Atlético Tucumán.
The 22-year-old player, who was champion with the sugar cast, collapsed in a sports practice and could not be revived, after being treated by members of the medical staff.
