Judo, World Tour Tokyo 2022: four Italians at the start of the last Grand Slam of the year
There will be four Italians engaged on December 3 and 4 in Tokyo, for the last Grand Slam stage of 2022 for the Judo World Tour. Appointment at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in the Japanese capital, then the best 36 in each category will access the scheduled Jerusalem Masters from 20 to 22 December. In Japan there will be 360 athletes representing 62 nations. The blue expedition, under the guidance of technicians Giovanni Carollo and Enrico Parlati, will appear at the starting line by lining up Lorenzo Parodi and Giacomo Gamba in the 81 kg and Gennaro Pirelli and Enrico Bergamelli in the 100 kg.
“The boys are fine and ready to perform at their best – explains Carollo – Gamba and Bergamelli have had constant growth throughout the season, with important results both in the Grand Slams and at the European Championship. All four Azzurri will be able to do good things.”
