Judo Club Pforzheim collects three medals – Sport

Pforzheim. Three athletes from the Pforzheim Judo Club had traveled to Switzerland for the international Taekwondo Championship (Wattwil Open). In the “Benjamin” class (born 2014-2015), Alparslan Gül was able to prevail in the weight class up to 29 kg and thus win the gold medal.

In the higher “Minime” class (born 2011 – 2013), the Pforzheim Taekwondooka Jeremy Huber was able to assert himself in the weight class up to 41 kg. He defeated the French Ligonniere Charly in the preliminary round and the Swiss Noel Butter in the semi-finals. In the final, there was a big showdown between Jeremy Huber and the Swiss Al Ghaim Rayan. Jeremy defeated his opponent in the final with sophisticated and technically adept techniques.

In the cadet class (born 2008 – 2010), Amir Can Zadeh demonstrated his skills in the weight class from 65 g. In an exciting final he was narrowly defeated by the Swiss national fighter Khiari Rayen.

The people from Pforzheim were also able to shine as referees. Ibrahim Sönmezates (7th Dan – Head Coach JCP) and Adrian Kästner (4th Dan – Co. Coach JCP) were in action.
