The skier from Bilbao is 36 tenths away from entering the top 30 in the Italian night slalom

Juan del Campo stayed this Thursday 36 tenths of a second away from sneaking into the second round of the second test of the season in the Slalom World Cup held at night in Madonna de Campliglio (Italy). The 28-year-old competitor from Bilbao improved his performance compared to the start of the campaign, since then he finished in 43rd place and almost a second from the Top-30 and in Italy he finished in 38th, the same place and with the same time as his teammate Quim Salarich.

The man from Bilbao, in this way, has taken a small step forward that will do him good in terms of his confidence. Between the first and the second race of the World Cup, Del Campo has competed in two rounds of the European Cup. And he did not do well in the first – he did not finish – and in the second he finished in the 16th position. This Thursday, he has come close to entering the best. The next race will be on January 4 at Garmisch Partenkirchen. There he managed last year to become one of the top 30.
