James Wiseman enjoyed himself against the Stockton Kings!

It’s been a while since we’ve seen him slam 24 points while trotting, James Wiseman has come down to puff his chest and shoulder in the G League. The Stockton Kings took for their rank, Neemias Queta especially, and all this gives us a nice old-fashioned video as if the 2nd choice of the 2020 Draft was still playing in the NCAA.

James Wiseman has “belonged” to the Warriors institution for more than two years. The 21-year-old interior has only played 50 NBA games under the Franciscan colors, the fault of a torn meniscus well relaunched to launch his career in the elite. There had already been a sprained left wrist and a knee glitch: in short, the Big Ticket de la Baie must have felt a bit betrayed by his body. Sent to the G League at the start of the season to re-hone his joints against confirmed professionals, James Wiseman played 7 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors for averages of 15.6 points at 62% shooting, 10.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. His latest achievement? A scrap double-double on the Stockton Kings, specifically Neemias Queta. The Portuguese interior is not the last of the novices, however, and is averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds this season. Boom, he just ate 24 points and 13 rebounds from James Wiseman (well, Neemias Queta had planted 36 points and 18 rebounds on Wiseman a few days earlier). What seal the return of the second choice of draft on the upper floor? We’ll see, but this passage in the antechamber does him a lot of good.
