It’s decided – despite the division, a home for the national team

Competence center by 2025
The competence center will be built in Vienna-Aspern by the end of 2025 for around 70 million euros (one third each financed by the federal government, the city of Vienna and the ÖFB as owner). With a small stadium, four training grounds, a branch with offices and a quarter (no hotel) for the ÖFB (youth) selections. It was already clear that there would be no hall for cost reasons. Team boss Ralf Rangnick also advocated this as a compromise so that the ÖFB team can end the “vagabond existence” in the courses in the future.
