Iran: Tajani, ‘morality police abolished? if true, that would be good news

Rome, 5 Dec. (Adnkronos) – “If it were true, it would be good news”. This is Antonio Tajani’s comment on the news of the abolition of the morale police in Iran. Speaking on the sidelines of the conference “Legal diplomacy at the service of international peace and security: Italy’s commitment to combating corruption” – organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice, on the occasion of the International Day against Corruption – the Foreign Minister added that “abolition would be a positive thing, but we need to see if it is the truth. In fact, there is conflicting news about it ”.

“We are following with great attention and concern what is happening in Iran – Tajani said again – Our hope is that normality will return and that the season of violence against the demonstrators will end. What is happening is contrary to respect for human rights and we condemn the violence against women”.
