In the 2nd Bundesliga is the HSV in a good second place – and is there in the money table.

According to “kicker”, the former Bundesliga Dino still receives 19.51 million euros from the DFL in what is now his fifth second division season from the marketing of national and international media rights.

The sum is made up as follows: In the 2022/23 season, each of the 18 second division clubs will receive a basic payment of EUR 7.28 million from national media revenues.

In addition, there are funds from pots such as “Performance”, “Young Talent” and “Interest”.

When it comes to “interest”, HSV is helped by its enormously large fan base.

This is reflected on the one hand in the average number of viewers (50,627) and on the other hand in a survey by the “Allensbacher Markt- und Werbeträgeranalyse”. This showed that HSV is in 4th place – for the 1st and 2nd leagues together. That means an additional 865,248 euros in the HSV box office.
