Hero World Challenge: Viktor Hovland scores ten birdies and takes the lead in the Bahamas

With no less than ten birdies on the third day, Viktor Hovland took a bit of a lead in the Hero World Challenge. In Albany, the Norwegian finally returned only two points to the Bahamas course, on holes 6 and 18.

The 12th player in the world now points to -13 thanks to this card of 64, for three strokes ahead of a Scottie Scheffler alone in 2nd (66, -10). The American could also become world number one again, if successful on Sunday in this 20-player tournament, not counting for the PGA Tour and organized by Tiger Woods.

In 3rd place are Justin Thomas (66) and Cameron Young (68). The winner of the USPGA 2022 and the revelation of the past season are displayed at -8, one stroke ahead of Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele, both 5th and authors of a moving day in 69 strokes.

As for the Europeans at the forefront, Jon Rahm is only 7th (68, -4), one shot ahead of Sepp Straka (-3, 70). Americans Tony Finau and Sam Burns completing the Top 10, 9th at -2.
