In a press release, the departmental basketball committee of Haute-Vienne announces that the referees have decided “to drop their whistle during a full day of the championship” in order to attract attention and create awareness.
The arbitrators denounce in particular acts of incivility, violence, threats and intimidation. They also declare that they are regularly taken to task and no longer able to arbitrate with complete peace of mind. The departmental committee ensures this Wednesday “that no designation of officials would be made for the weekend of December 9-11, 2022“.
