Gongshu Canal Sports Park and Hangzhou National Fitness Center were selected for the Luban Prize Announcement List-Hangzhou News Center-Hangzhou Net

A few days ago, the list of the first batch of China Construction Engineering Luban Awards (National High-quality Projects) in 2022-2023 was announced. 119 projects across the country were selected, and two Hangzhou Asian Games venues—Gongshu Canal Sports Park Project (Gymnasium, National Fitness Center) , Hangzhou National Fitness Center project included.

Gongshu Canal Sports Park is the venue for table tennis, break dancing, hockey in the Hangzhou Asian Games, table tennis and football for the blind in the Hangzhou Asian Paralympic Games. This is a comprehensive park with the theme of national fitness, and it is also the only newly built Asian Games venue group in the main urban area. The park is arranged according to the “south hall and north court”. The south area is a table tennis and break dance hall, with about 6,900 audience seats, and a national fitness center; the north area is a field for hockey and blind football, with about 5,000 audience seats, and a training venue and a tourist service center.

Hangzhou National Fitness Center is a public welfare and comprehensive public sports fitness center integrating training, competition and training. It is also the handball training venue for the Hangzhou Asian Games. It is located at the intersection of Fuchun Road and Yongjiang Road in Shangcheng District. As one of the largest comprehensive public sports venues in China, it has a number of first-class facilities including swimming pool, table tennis hall and badminton hall.

The Luban Award (Luban Award for China Construction Engineering) is the highest honor award for engineering quality in China’s construction industry, and is selected every two years. The main venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games-Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium (Big Lotus) has won the 2020-2021 Luban Award.
