From the Rome VIII Town Hall to Viterbo to visit Santa Claus House

NewTuscia – VITERBO – Tomorrow, Saturday 10 December, as part of the initiatives organized by the Rome VIII Town Hall for Christmas, around 50 children from local primary schools will leave from Largo Leonardo da Vinci for Viterbo, to visit Santa Claus’s home.

The children will be accompanied by educators and the trip will last the whole day. The initiative is part of the “Educare in VIII” project financed with municipal funds and which includes various initiatives including the opening of Christmas Centers in schools during the Christmas break, intensive Judo courses and social basketball tournaments for children and many other cultural events in the four quadrants of the Rome VIII Municipality.

The following week, Saturday 17 December, a further 50 children from local elementary schools will instead leave for Barbarano Romano, in the province of Viterbo, to participate in the “Un giorno da buttero” initiative, to discover a story and a typical tradition of Lazio. The children who will participate in the visit to the Santa Claus House will learn the rules for horse care, play the job of buttero and discover the life of Italian cowboys.

“After two years of pandemic – comments the president of the Rome VIII Municipality, Amedeo Ciaccheri – we are very happy to allow the children to finally be together again and thus immerse themselves in the Christmas atmosphere. Barbarano Romano’s experience will also be wonderful because for the children being outdoors and being in contact with nature will certainly be a wonderful feeling”.
