Bollenstreek – The Dakar rally started on Saturday, New Year’s Eve, with the Firemen Dakar Team in the trucks with Richard de Groot from Noordwijkerhout, co-driver Mark Laan and mechanic Jan Hulsebosch in the Iveco. The rally will be held in Saudi Arabia. The prologue went from Sea Camp to Sea Camp over a distance of 13 kilometers. The Dakar Team finished in 20th place, 1 minute and 34 seconds behind the winner, Martin Macik’s Czech team. Because the Russians are missing because of the war, everyone smells new opportunities. In the trucks, the Russians dominated the race a lot.
