Mexico City. This Monday afternoon there was a fire that consumed a sports shoe store in the commercial area of the Tepito neighborhood on the streets of Eje 1 Norte and González Ortega in the Cuauhtémoc city hall.
The fire occurred on the second floor of a tennis warehouse, in the Morelos neighborhood, in the Tepito neighborhood, with no injuries reported.
In a video on his twitter account, the Secretary of the Government of Mexico City, Martí Batres, reported that around 70 members of the Fire Department are working, as well as 25 members of the Central Government’s Civil Protection and 300 members of the the Secretary of Citizen Security to combat the conflagration.
He noted that “there are no victims to regret” and that the area is fenced off, with 80 percent progress in putting out the fire.
