It does not have the notoriety of judo, karate or ju-jitsu among laymen, yet aikibudo has been tracing its path with passion for two decades in Tulle.
Founded by José Rodriguez, the Aikibudo Club of Tulle celebrates its 20th anniversary in this year 2022. On this occasion, he was the host at the municipal dojo on the weekend of December 3 and 4 of the six other clubs that make up the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league for an interregional internship.
This martial art of Japanese origin was synthesized by Alain Floquet in the sixties in France. “It takes up the teachings of the ancestral Japanese schools of martial arts which are yoseikan, katori shinto and daitori ryu”, specifies Georges Barentin, interdepartmental technical delegate in charge of the New Aquitaine league.
