DeRozan gives Bulls victory over Knicks

NEW YORK (AP) — DeMar DeRozan’s jumper with less than a second to go gave the Chicago Bulls a 118-117 victory over the New York Knicks on Friday.

DeRozan finished with 25 points in Chicago’s third straight win. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 33 points and Nikola Vucevic added 25.

RJ Barrett led the Knicks with a season-high 44 points. Julius Randle finished with 29 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bulls turned around after trailing by six in the fourth quarter thanks to a poor free throw by the Knicks, who made just 15 of 26 free throws, including four missed in the final 1:06.

Barrett’s basket with 29 seconds left put New York up by three before LaVine hit a layup with seven seconds left.

Jalen Brunson missed both of his free throws with six seconds left, leaving the door open for DeRozan’s game-winner.
