He’s won the World Series and MVP Awards, and his shelves are lined with Cy Young Award trophies. Now the all-star lefty for the Dodgers, Clayton Kershawyou want to add the title of the World Classic 2023 Baseball to your resume. On Monday, the USA team reported that Kershaw had announced his intention to enter the tournament.
Though he no longer pitches as many innings per season as he has in the past, Kershaw was just as effective in 2022. The left-hander went 12-3 with a 2.28 ERA in 2022 and was selected for the ninth time in the All-Star Game. .
Having re-signed with the Dodgers for 2023, the 34-year-old will try to win three more games to reach 200 career, as well as help the United States in its bid to defend the World Classic crown.
