Campazzo’s agent: “I think Madrid may be interested”

Where will Facundo Campazzo play? That was the first question that went through Europe and Argentina after learning that the point guard (31 years and 1.81 meters) had been cut by the Dallas Mavericks last Monday and after only 19 regular season games in which he had played 8. His averages in that period are 1.3 points and 1.1 assists in 6.5 minutes on the field.

Something is going to work out,” he continued. “Today, if you ask me, I personally speak for myself, I don’t see any possibility, nor would I be interested in any NBA team. I am sure that Facundo will receive a good offer from Europe, which is the place where he should develop now.”

Europe, the place where Campazzo exploded as a player with a Madrid with whom he signed a five-year contract extension in 2019 and three million euros gross (close to two million net). “The first thing that is thought (when they cut Campazzo) is that Madrid may be interested. I think so, that he may be interested because I also have an excellent relationship with Chus Mateo: I speak continuously with him for a friendship of 25 years and I know what he thinks. But also, Madrid has a squad of players that has point guards, guards, forwards and will have to make a conjunction.
