If there was a candidate in Group A to reach the final of the BetPlay 2022-II League, it was without a doubt, Millionaires. The albiazul team had proven to be the best in their area, and came to face their classic rival as a visitor. The tie served him, as long as Deportivo Pereira did not win in Barranquilla against Junior. The victory would have given him the ticket to the final regardless of a Pereira victory.
However, the ballot was completely reversed. Millionaires played as if they were not the candidate to reach the final. The story with Alberto Gamero in Liga BetPlay has been more than elusive, and they have not been able to revalidate that goal of winning a league title until now.
