Bonn (SID) – The Telekom Baskets Bonn are continuing their successful series in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) unhindered. The league leaders struggled 80:73 (39:29) over the Niners Chemnitz, but in the end secured their tenth win in the eleventh league game – thanks to a great TJ Shorts II.
The 25-year-old point guard, who comes from the USA and plays for North Macedonia, was by far the best thrower for Bonn with 38 points. He also had six rebounds and three assists. At Chemnitz, Marko Filipovity impressed with 17 points and two rebounds.
Champion Alba Berlin has the chance to catch up against Mitteldeutscher BC on Tuesday (7 p.m. / MagentaTV). The Berliners have only suffered one defeat this season.
