As we told you on Thursday (see yesterday’s news at 10:30 p.m.), FC Barcelona intends to keep Frenkie de Jong (25 years old, 17 games and 2 goals in all competitions this season). For his part, the Catalan club’s president, Joan Laporta, claims that there was never any question of parting with the Dutch midfielder.
“He is one of the pillars of our club. He is one of the greatest talents of the team and one of its leaders. I never wanted to sell Frenkie”, explained the Barcelona manager for Barça TV.
