Barça: Golden victory in the Principality (63-69)

Golden victory in the Principality of Monaco to win again in the Euroleague (63-69). Saras’ men broke the match with a gale from the three-pointer, but before that they had held off the Monegasque team, fifth in the standings, thanks to an intense defense. In this way, Barça, with once again a stellar Mirotic, has resumed the path of victory in the Euroleague. It has certainly been a full match for the culers to write the 10/4 in Europe.

The defense sets the pace

Monaco – Barça has appeared at the Salle Gaston Médecin with a low score. Mirotic, Sanli and Kalinic have put the first culers points. Without being a basket dance, both teams have alternated the differences. Short, caused by the intensity defensive???????? Of the consecutive Barcelona trebles, one of 33 and another of 22, they have distanced themselves from the initial logic and have drawn a maximum of five. The low score of the first quarter has continued despite a new golden triple (13-16).

The triple, an oasis

Ideas have flourished in the rear. Because the annotation has been scarce until an exchange of points from 6.75 meters. Two actions per side that have kept the distances low. Neither team has been able to get rid of the other. The defenses have continued to impose their logic and have almost only left space for isolated baskets from the triple. An oasis in the middle of the defensive order seen in the first part that has concluded with a new success of Mirotic on the horn from beyond from 6.75: 29-34.

Three by three to open the gap

Undoubtedly, this Barcelona advantage, the highest up to now, has been built thanks to shots from three. Because Barça has added more in actions of three (7/17) than two (6/11). An effectiveness that has resumed after the break. Satoransky has opened the third period with a new triple to lay the foundations of a new maximum income: +17. Written, of course, by three new golden triples: Mirotic, Laprovittola and Satoransky. Saras’ men have displayed a brilliant game, and have continued to enlarge the exhibition from the triple, in the Monaco parquet and have gone to the last quarter with an incontestable 45-60.

Monaco started the period with energy and closed the gap: 51-61. How could it be otherwise, after an offensive rebound from 33, Barça has cooled the local momentum with a three-pointer; this time from Kalinic. Without being able to give continuity to the scoring gale of the last period, the culers have been able to tie the final victory: 63-69. In this way, the blaugranas have won again in the Euroleague. A competition that moves to the Palau Blaugrana this Friday, December 16 against Panathinaikos (8:30 p.m.).
