third federation

Once the Bizkaia Mercantile Registry is completed, the appointment of the Board of Directors will take place on January 13, as well as the presentation of the budget

On September 15, the long process of converting Barakaldo into a sports limited company came to an end. One last assembly of members was the goal of a tour that was delayed due to the abrupt sanction of 1.2 million euros with which Social Security punished the club due to its non-payments. The manufacturing entity thus saw the light after almost three years walking on a tightrope, immersed in a bankruptcy and with hints of liquidation included. However, it was still necessary to complete all the paperwork to register officially.

In this sense, the last touchstone was the Bizkaia Mercantile Registry. Well, the last publication of the BOE reflects its transformation into SAD with a share capital of 2,401,200 euros, since by obligation they had to double the club’s liabilities. Therefore, as a result of this event, the Baracaldés group have finally been able to convene the first Shareholders’ Meeting in its history. This will take place at the Hotel Puerta de Bilbao on Friday, January 13 at 6:00 p.m. Likewise, if applicable, the second call would be on Monday, January 16, at the same place and at the same time.

All those who are holders of shares may attend this Meeting, without a minimum number of shares being required. For this, it will be essential to present the DNI and a shareholder card that can be obtained at the club offices or directly before the start of the meeting itself. This will serve to constitute the first board of directors, including a new president and an auditor. In the same way, the budget of income and expenses for the 2022/23 season will be presented and put to the vote. If there is a quorum -25% of the share capital- in this first call, the second will be without effect.
