The book by Anna Behrla and Birgit Jansen received the Award of Excellence in the “Corporate Books” category. The book was created in cooperation with the North Rhine-Westphalian Judo Association.
Carmen Udina, migo publishing manager: “We are very happy about the awards for three very different titles from our migo program. ‘Kouki and the Gentle Way’ is the first picture book on the subject of judo and an age-appropriate inspiration around the topics of empowerment and mindfulness.
The ICMA award is a worldwide competition for corporate media, books, corporate design and magazines. It provides an overview of contemporary graphic design and is primarily intended to promote the exchange of creative ideas on an international level and to reveal trends. The jury consists of professionals from the design industry who have practical experience in the fields of design, typography, photography, illustration and book design. The award ceremony in the book category traditionally takes place on the eve of the London Book Fair.
