ATP > Murray: “I have big plans for next year”

Eternal dissatisfied, Andy Murray is not content with a return to the top 50 at 35 and with a metal hip. He wants to be able to fight for the biggest titles, as he explained in one of the last podcasts of theATP.

“When you’ve been at the top of the game and you’ve reached the No. 1 spot in the world, that’s always where your benchmark is for how you’re doing. So in that respect my 2022 season has been pretty average, although at the start of the year I was 135e worldwide and now i’m 49e, which is a big improvement. I would have liked to do better, I don’t think I played my best tennis….but the year was okay. I want to keep progressing. If things don’t continue to improve, I should revise some things, but I’m still going in the direction I want and I have big plans for next year. »
