Alicante loses to Doha the organization of the 2025 Table Tennis World Cups

MADRID, 6 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Alicante will not be able to host the Table Tennis World Championships in 2025 after losing this Tuesday in the final vote to the candidacy presented by Doha, according to the Royal Spanish Table Tennis Federation (RFEF).

The Spanish proposal could not beat the Qatari project, which won this World Cup event by 57 votes to 39, “a very tight result that is due to the great proposal of the Spanish candidacy and the good work done in the three major events held in Spain, especially the so-called ‘best table tennis World Championship in history’, the Andalucía WPTTC 2022, held last November in Granada,” said the RFETM.
