Advice from champions in Saint-Clément

The Judo Club Clémentin organized Sunday the 2 e edition of the women’s day, with as godmother Faïza Mokdar, multiple international medalist.

Nearly 80 women, from pre-chicks to seniors, from different clubs came to share a moment of conviviality with this young champion.

“The purpose of this day was to promote women’s judo in the department where we see that around 80% of licensees are male”, explained Clementine President William Saillard.

“Sharing my passion and my young experience”

Throughout the day, the young champion was available, attentive and caring towards all the judokas present, between judo training, exchanges of questions and answers, photos and dedications.

Young nugget of French judo, she was titled French cadet, junior and senior champion in -52 kg the same year in 2018, at just sixteen years old, to achieve a first in the history of French judo.

Faïza Mokdar has since continued to panic the international counters: European champion and junior world vice-champion, triple European champion (2018, 2019, 2020) and junior world vice-champion (2017). To date, at 21, she holds more than thirty national and international trophies.

“It is a pleasure for me to be able to share my passion and my young experience with young judokas and to promote this wonderful sport. These encounters showed me a path: that of teaching and sharing my knowledge. That’s why I’m also preparing for a state diploma,” says the champion.

Currently injured for nine months, Faïza Mokdar plans on her medium-term ambition: “The return to competition can only be done in September 2023, with a goal of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “
