Abol is productive in the fifth game in a row; goals also for Daugavins and Bukarta

Latvian forward Rodrigo Ābols scored a goal in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) match on Tuesday, contributing to the victory of his and Rihards Mareņas’ “Orebro” team.

The Erebro team beat the “Lulea” team at home with the result 4:2 (0:0, 2:1, 2:1).

Abols scored a goal in the 13th minute of the second period, when he realized the majority with a shot from close range, making it 2:1. He spent 18 minutes and 14 seconds on the ice in this duel, during which he scored four times, used two power plays, won 50% of shots and had a neutral efficiency ratio.

Marenis, returning to the field after a three-game suspension, scored once in nine minutes and 12 seconds and was neutral.

Abols scored eight goals and provided 12 assists in 27 matches this season, while Marenis has been absent in two SHL games so far.

“Orebro” will go to Davos after this match, where they will participate in the prestigious Spengler Cup at the end of the year.

With 47 points in 28 matches, “Orebro” takes the fourth place in the tournament table in the competition of 14 teams.

Kaspars Daugaviņš scored a goal in the German Championship (DEL) on Tuesday and made a series of shots after the game, but it was not enough for the Iserlon “Roosters” team to win – at home with 2:3 (1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 0:0, 0:1) was lost to Bremerhaven “Fischtown Penguins” hockey players in the postgame shootout.

In this match, Daugavins spent 18 minutes and 22 seconds on the ice, during which he scored three times, won five of eight shots and accumulated a positive efficiency coefficient of +1. He has 12 goals and 12 assists in 31 games this season.

In the DEL tournament table, “Wild Wings” of Schveningen represented by Mika Indraš are in ninth place with 44 points won in 30 matches, while “Roosters” with 41 points in 31 games are in 11th position in the competition of 15 teams.

On the other hand, in the Czech extra league, Roberts Bukarts scored his 14th goal this season, as his Vítkovice “Rider” team suffered a loss.

“Ridera” recognized the superiority of “Mountfield” from Hradeckrálova in extra time with the result 3:4 (0:1, 2:3, 0:0, 0:1).

In the 14th minute of the second period, Bukarts got the rebound near the goal and sent it into the net, making it 3:2 at that time. In this match, the Latvian striker scored once in 17 minutes and seven seconds, achieving a neutral efficiency ratio.

This season, Bukarts scored 14 goals, which is the fourth best score in the extra league, and also collected 25 points, taking the seventh position in this score.

In another match, defender Kārlis Čukste scored an assist, while “Ocelarži” of Tršinec defeated Karlovy Vary “Energie” 4:2 (1:0, 2:0, 1:2) at home.
