Qatari photojournalist Khalid al-Misslam died “suddenly” on Saturday while covering the World Cup in Qatar for national television channel Al-Kass, the Gulf Times reported on Monday. The channel said it was in mourning but did not discuss the circumstances of his death.
His death comes the day after that of American journalist Grant Wahl who lost his life on Friday during the quarter-final match between the Netherlands and Argentina. The 48-year-old journalist worked for CBS Sports. No official announcement has currently been made regarding the cause of his death.
