The movie A Quiet Place 2 is the sequel to the 2018 horror film A Quiet Place and comes streaming on Netflix. The 2021 horror film follows the same family from the first film as they continue to navigate and survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind aliens with an acute sense of hearing.

During a baseball game, the Abbott family – his wife Evelyn, her husband Lee, his deaf daughter Recan and the sons Marcus and Beau – and other spectators witness a strange object similar to a cloud fall towards the earth.
Hostile extraterrestrial creatures attack and start slaughtering people. Blind creatures have armored skin. They have extraordinary speed and strength, and track their victims with hypersensitive hearing. On top of that, these creatures attack anything that makes noise.
Over a year later, the creatures have killed much of Earth’s population, including Beau and Lee. Regan has discovered that high-frequency audio feedback makes creatures vulnerable, and has devised a makeshift method of transmitting the noise from her cochlear implant through a handheld microphone.
The film established several box office records, including the largest opening weekend of the Covid-19 pandemic, and collected 297.4 million dollars worldwide. It received positive reviews from critics, who praised the story and the addition of Murphy’s character Emmett.
