A man died in the middle of the celebrations for the World Cup in Argentina

(CNN) — At least one person died in Buenos Aires amid celebrations for the victory of the country’s soccer team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, according to a statement from the city’s Ministry of Health sent to CNN on Wednesday.

A 24-year-old man was transferred to the Fernández Hospital in the early hours of this Monday after suffering a head injury when he fell from a roof, according to a statement from the Buenos Aires City agency.

The man died at the hospital on Tuesday.

The celebrations took place in the capital and in several cities of the country since the victory of the team this Sunday, over France.
