Lionel Messi’s very first interview appeared on September 3, 2000 in the Argentine newspaper Dario La Capital. The current star player was then with his youth team in Argentina, Newell’s Old Boys. It was just before his switch to the Spanish Barcelona. An anthology. His great example? “His father Jorge.”. His fondest memory? “When grandma took me to a football match for the first time.”.
