The 20 basketball teams composed of young entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Strait enhanced their friendship through the exchange of skills.

Basketball is one of the favorite sports of young Taiwanese compatriots in Xiamen. As soon as the invitational tournament was launched, it attracted about 300 young entrepreneurs from both sides of the strait from 20 teams.

Taiwan compatriot Jian Kuizuo, who played on behalf of the Xiamen Taiwan Association, participated in the basketball invitational tournament for the second time. “We were looking forward to the last tournament, and the organizer also collected our needs and opinions. This year’s tournament is even bigger. Hope to get good results in the next competitions.”

Zhang Jinqiu, president of Xiamen Taiwan Compatriots Association, expressed the hope that through this event, a platform for cross-strait youth exchanges will be built and exchanges between cross-strait youth sports events will be strengthened.

“Sweat together on the court, and strengthen exchanges and become friends off the court.” Wu Jiaying, president of the Xiamen Taiwanese Business Association, believes that Xiamen provides a broad platform for young entrepreneurs from both sides of the strait to pursue, build and realize their dreams.
