WTA Masters: Caroline Garcia qualified with style for the final

Unbelievable ! The French Caroline Garcia, sixth in the world, will participate in the final of the WTA Masters, in Fort Worth, after her victory 6-3, 6-2 this Sunday, against the Greek Maria Sakkari. She is thus following in the footsteps of two other French women, Mary Pierce and Amélie Mauresmo, who were also able to reach the final of the tournament.

Caroline Garcia will face for the title the winner of the match which was to take place in the night between the Polish Iga Swiatek, world number 1 and the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka. The final will be played on Tuesday at 3 a.m. Paris time.

Caroline Garcia had won her place for the semi-finals on Saturday thanks to her victory 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7/5) against the Russian Daria Kasatkina (N.8). “I had to give everything to win it, stay positive until the end. Daria is such a fighter, I’m happy to have been as much as her tonight, ”she rejoiced.
