The Yacyretá Binational Entity will develop free training sessions for technical directors, teachers and basketball players from all over the province, they announced this Monday morning.
They will be held in the city of Esquina and will be coordinated by the former Technical Director of the Argentine Women’s Basketball team, Cristian
Santander, who will arrive in Corrientes on Friday 11.
It is important to highlight that the trainings are of apublic and free, and are intended for DT and basketball teachers from clubs in the province, especially in the area.
There will be three days of training and education that will take place on Friday at the Club Sociedad Sportiva Esquina, located at Mancini 350; on Saturday the meeting will be at Esquina Football Club located at Coronel Schweizer 675 and ending on Sunday at the Santa Rita Club located at 431 San Martín Avenue in the town,
During the meetings, basic concepts of the sport will be developed, as well as plays and strategic positioning of the discipline. For this they will have a basketball team with whom they will carry out the practices.
The first meeting will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. and from the Entity they specified that those players who wish to observe the
trainings may do so without prior registration.

Cristian Santander was technical director of “Las Gigantes”, the Argentine Women’s Basketball team in 2018. He was champion of the LBF league in Brazil
for Sampaio Basquete in 2021 and is currently coach of the Chilean basketball team.
