Vanesa Martín, Infocam and the Basketball School, among the 19 winners of the II Gala Contigo de La Roda

The ‘II Gala With You’, from La Roda, pwill remit to nineteen buses, entities and persons linked to the social field this afternoon, at 7:30 p.m., at the House of Culture of the Rodense municipality. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached and, among other awards, the one for the singer Vanessa Martin for his social commitment through Music, “in reference to his song ‘I am’, a symbol in the fight against cancer”; CMM for its programs ‘Heroes Anonymous’ and ‘Solidarity’ in the category of media involved or the Domund who will receive the award for cooperation and the Special Prizes which will fall on the Basketball School and the Infocam Plan.

The mayor of La Roda, Juan Ramón Amores and the Councilor for Social Services, Eva María Perea have presented the categories that will be awarded at a gala that is awarded by the Rodense journalist, Jaime Sevilla Lawrence. According to Amores, “he is a talent from La Roda who has developed his career at ElDiario.es, as Head of Closing but has also been editor of the international section, cover artist and weekend manager. The gala will also have an interpreter in Spanish of Signs.

For her part, the responsible councilor, Eva María Perea, recalled that “the Gala With You was born with the aim of rrecognize diversity and social work from its multiple facets“. That is why, he added that, “with the categories designed, the objective is to recognize the work of social and health entities, volunteers, artists, companies or financial entities.”

He added that “in La Roda we have a rich associative fabric” that has proposed part of the candidacies, others have been proposed by the mayor’s office”, but there has also been a jury made up of the councilor of the popular municipal group, Eduardo Sanchez; Belén Sánchez, from the AMAR Association; Maruja Peñaranda, from the AECC; María Zalve, from the Adelante Association, as well as Perea y Amores and Rosalina Serrano, from Asprona.
