The test that will take place this Sunday totals the points obtained in the tests convened by the respective Autonomous Archery Federations, for whose final classification they compute the three best valid scores, which -in the end- determine the method of assigning places available in each competition, in order to establish the order of priority of the archers for the inscriptions in the 2023 Spanish Indoor Championship.

This is the Unified Regional Indoor Archery Ranking competition, known by the initials RAUS. This Sunday, the Valdeluz sports center hosts the first round of this test, which will continue in the double appointment on the last weekend of November in Torrijos (Toledo) and which will be elucidated in the fourth and last round on December 18 at the Ciudad Real town of Tomelloso. ‘Since 2018 and every season, Yebes has been the regular venue for the competitions of the Castilla-La Mancha Archery Federation, which demonstrates the roots it has acquired in our municipality thanks to the dissemination and organization work of our club’ , values ​​Merche de la Rica, Councilor for Sports.

In order to score in the RAUS classification, between three and five shots must be completed, consisting of a WA round at 18 meters distance, with two series of 30 arrows each and shots of three arrows at a time on the corresponding target depending on the category. The divisions participating in the RAUS, which correspond to the types of bow, are recurve, compound, naked, traditional and longbow, both in the male and female categories.

This first edition of Valdeluz will start around 10:00 and will last an estimated two hours. Once completed, the 1st Solidarity Throw against Cancer will be held, the first of these characteristics organized by the Territorial Federation of Castilla-La Mancha Archery, and whose proceeds will go entirely to the Spanish Association against Cancer. Since it is not a test to use, it will be developed by the eliminatory system, with a minimum score per division that will be increased as the roll progresses, since to continue each archer must overcome the cuts established in each case.

The first Solidarity Throw against Cancer will serve as a tribute and tribute to the figure of Juan José Hernández, who since 2017 presided over the Castilla-La Mancha Territorial Archery Federation and who, after a long fight against this disease, died last Month of May. For decades, Hernández made archery one of his passions, to which he devoted himself body and soul, and in that long career he became first vice president of the Royal Spanish Federation and national coach of the 3D modality on air free.

“Those of us who were lucky enough to meet him discovered a man who spread his love and enthusiasm for this sport, to which he gave himself with devotion”, recalls the Councilor for Sports of the Yebes City Council, Merche de la Rica. Coach and licensed as a judge since 2001, he created his own Archery Workshop to promote knowledge and dissemination of archery. Until 2017 he presided over the Club Itarco de Alovera, the town where he lived, and six years earlier he was awarded the medal for sports merit by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.

The first RAUS 2022 Shooting, which is held this Sunday at the Valdeluz sports center, and whose final classification will decide the teams that will represent Castilla-La Mancha in the different divisions in the Spanish Indoor Archery Championship for Autonomous Communities, is organized by the Club Arqueros Yebes Valdeluz with the collaboration of the Department of Sports, which encourages the residents of this municipality to follow the evolution of this spectacular and plastic sports discipline live. An unbeatable opportunity to see some of the best shooters in our region in action and “follow the competition from the stands of the Valdeluz sports center to check the precision, skill and concentration shown by the archers”.

La Roda hosts the final of the JCCM Basketball Trophy:

The best basketball show once again has La Roda and its Juan José Lozano Jareño pavilion as its stage. This time to host the exciting final of the JCCM Trophy between two LEB Oro teams: CB Almansa and Albacete Basket. An interesting final turned into a competitive derby that will start at 8:00 p.m.

The International Cyclocross City of Tarancón expects nearly 700 participants

Exceptional reception among athletes for the 2nd edition of the Ciudad de Tarancón International Cyclocross, which expects nearly 700 participants this weekend on its Riánsares hermitage circuit, between the international call and schools, exceeding the figures reached last year . A complete success after the work of the Training Zone Tarancón club, which has consolidated its career in the UCI C2 calendar and within the schedule of the Spanish Cyclocross Cup, which will be its sixth round.

Let us remember that registrations will still remain open on the Castilla-La Mancha Cycling Federation website until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10.

The 2022 edition arrives dotted with novelties, including the extension of the race to two days, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November. A great economic effort made by the organization that has preferred to decompress the program in order to give the runners more time to enjoy their sleeves more. Saturday will include the Schools competition in the morning and the different male Master categories in the afternoon. On Sunday all the females will compete, from cadets to masters, and the rest of the male categories, from cadets to elites.

Collection of numbers and parking area

The organization has established a Permanent Office to collect bib numbers on the circuit itself, next to the finish area, set up on Saturday from 10 in the morning for the school tests and from 12 to 7 p.m. for the rest of the races. . From this moment on, and for two hours, the pick-up will be moved to Finca La Estacada, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For the numbers that are still pending, the same Sunday at the Permanent Office, from one hour before the start of the races.

The TZT club has prepared a parking area for runners, team tents and caravans that want to spend the night in Tarancón. To do this, an area attached to the circuit has been set up in which they will be placed in order of arrival, without the need for prior registration.

Other novelties: Exhibition with costume, Mobile Disco and solidarity breakfast

Apart from the strictly competitive activity, the Ciudad de Tarancón International Cyclocross presents some more novelties of a recreational, sporting and social nature.

On Saturday at 5:00 p.m., a non-competitive CX Exhibition will be held in costume, aimed at all fans, children and adults, who want to participate, without the need to be federated. It is a lap around the circuit, at the chosen pace, carried out with any type of bicycle and in costume, in which the five best costumes will receive a prize. With this initiative, the TZT Tarancón club wants to give fans a fun opportunity to try out the experience of riding on a cyclo-cross circuit, while reminding them of the need to register at the exhibition when picking up their bib number, in order to that the organization has an orientation on how many people are going to participate.

The initiative will be followed by a Mobile Disco to liven up this cyclocross party.

The most supportive face of the event will be shown on Sunday 13, from 8 to 11:30 am, with a breakfast for the benefit of Afamit, the Tarancón Association of Relatives of People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Athletes, families and the public will be able to taste typical products of the area while collaborating with the important work carried out by Afamit by and for its users and families.
