Having become very good friends on the circuit over the seasons, Rafael Nadal and Andrey Rublev were visibly in a very good mood this Saturday afternoon in Turin during a training session a few hours before the start of the Masters.
Particularly teasing with the Spaniard, who is by the way his lifelong idol, the Russian had fun teasing him by evoking certain defeats of Spain against Russia, first that in the round of 16 of the Cup of football world in 2018 and then the more recent one during the Davis Cup in 2021.
Andrey even allowed himself to give the finger, in all friendship, to Rafa while the two men challenged each other with the ball at their feet. All with wide smiles on the faces of the two men.
After Nadal’s good joke aimed at Félix Auger‐Aliassime this Friday, it is therefore the Mallorcan’s turn to be tickled.
