Unusual, ATP > Boris Becker will be released from prison!

It is soon the end of the prison ordeal for the former German tennis star.

Incarcerated since April in Huntercombe prison, west London, after his sentence to two and a half years in prison for tax evasion, Boris Becker will be allowed to leave his prison next month and will be immediately deported from British soil under an early release scheme which allows “any foreign national serving a fixed term sentence who is liable to deportation from the UK to be removed from prison and deported up to 12 months before the first point of release from their sentence”.

A boon for the former three-time Wimbledon winner who will therefore be able to spend the holidays with his family and serve the rest of his sentence in his native country, Germany, on parole.
