“For me it was a clear ‘screwdriver’. I myself was sent off for it in the second period. Now I watched it again, but alas. An alibis. The whole team, everyone in the cabin and the fans have a lot to do with it. I’m not saying that it turned out differently, but it could have,” Růžička said after the match, knowing that the club would be fined for criticizing the referees according to the rules of the competition.
However, the unnamed referee was also fined 50 percent of the match fee. According to Vladimír Pešina, who manages extraleague referees, he made mistakes in the match. The management of the Association of Professional Ice Hockey Clubs did not want to specify their decision in more detail. However, Krejčík’s intervention was a foul according to the rules.
