Tom Brady, first quarterback to win in three countries outside the USA: Germany, England and Mexico

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) from Tom Brady beat the Seattle Seahawks 21-16 (6-4) in the first regular season game of the NFL in Germany at the Allianz Arena.

with victory, Brady (22/29, 258 yards, 2 TDs, INT) became the first quarterback to win in three different countries excluding the USA. During his time with the New England Patriots, the 45-year-old QB won twice in London (2009 and 2012) and once in Mexico (2017).

TB12 needed 30 passes without an interception to surpass Aaron Rodgers’ record of 402. However, his error-free sending streak ended at 399 because on pitch 400 the Bucs QB went for Mike Evans on a short run and linebacker Cody Barton stole the ball.

Midway through the third quarter, the Bucs attempted a fantasy play via a Leonard Fournette pitch to Brady. The running back’s pass was intercepted by Tariq Woolen and the QB had to make the tackle.

The Seahawks are the leaders of the NFC West thanks to their running game led by rookie Kenneth Walker III. Unfortunately, Pete Carroll’s team could not run the ball thanks to the excellent work of the Tampa Bay defense. Between Geno Smith and Walker, Seattle had 39 yards on 14 carries.
