Tite summons 26 players to his list for Qatar

Coach Tite announced at a press conference on Monday afternoon the list of 26 players called up to play the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (20 November – 18 December) with Brazil. While the Seleção are among the favorites of the competition, the Auriverde will be able to count on a group composed in particular of several executives such as the players of PSG, Neymar and Marquinhos but also Thiago Silva, Vinicius or Casemiro. There is no real surprise in the choices of the 61-year-old coach who has already said he would leave his post after the World Cup.

The Brazilian cages will, unsurprisingly, be guarded by Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City) and Weverthon (Palmeiras). On the defensive lines, the Seleção will probably line up in its starting lineup the former Parisian duo with Thiago Silva (Chelsea), captain, and Marquinhos (PSG). In midfield, we find, unsurprisingly, a trio from the Premier League with Casemiro, Fred (Man United) and Lucas Paqueta (West Ham). In support, Tite can count on Fabinho (Liverpool), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) and Everton Ribeiro (Flamengo), freshly winner of the Copa Libertadores. The real building site was in attack where the coach called 30 players over the last four years. In Qatar, they will be nine to represent their country: Neymar (PSG), Vinicius (Real), Raphinha (Barcelona), Richarlison (Tottenham), Antony (Man United), Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Rodrygo (Real Madrid) and Pedro (Flamingo).
