Since his debut with the Yellow Canaries he has become a permanent force for national coach Tite. Yet such an announcement remains exciting and certainly for the first time. The reaction of the pirouette king was beautiful to see. At the end Antony hugs his father and you can feel the relief, pride and emotion splashing off the screen. After all, football is an emotional rollercoaster.
richarlison
The five-time world champion also has a place in the selection for striker Richarlison this year. The 25-year-old striker has been playing at the highest level in England for a number of good seasons. Still, it remains emotional for the attacker, because he always remembers where he comes from. Richarlison left his family and Brazil early to pursue his football dream and after a number of setbacks he has now reached the top. It’s moments like these that you see Richarlison surrounded by family, because he knows what they’ve given up for him. That is simply beautiful.
Everton
A small honourable mention here. Not because we are huge fans of the attacker Everton, but because he also scored an engagement in addition to his place in the Yellow Canaries. After being told he had been selected for the World Cup, he got down on one knee in front of his girlfriend. Two of the best moments in his life in one fell swoop. Bizarre.
