The men’s basketball team of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí continues its good pace within the ABE League, adding its fifth victory, this after defeating the University of the Valley of Mexico with a score of 92 points against 82 , Zapopan campus.
With this victory, the team of the Eagles came to an early end, this after adding two triumphs in the University Sports Unit, defeating first the Bees of the University of Guanajuato and later the UVM Zapopan.
Now the young university students left their mark with five wins and one loss, from the Bajío Occidente Zone, second division, ranking third overall tied with Universidad Panamericana de Aguascalientes with five wins and one loss, and the leader Universidad Vasco de Quiroga de Morelia, the only undefeated team in the tournament with six wins, without defeat.
The best scorers for the locals were Rodrigo Ruiz and Felipe Arenas with 23 points, while Diego González stood out for the visitors with 20 points.
In this way, after six years of absence in the ABE League, the UASLP men’s team is keeping up a good pace and will now seek to stay in the first places of the League.
